AI for slides

AI for slides

Do you remember the first time you tried to use ChatGPT to create a slide presentation?

If it were a year ago, there’s a good chance the results were a mess. Words were misspelled. Headlines were strange. Graphics were awkward. And if AI tried to put text inside an image, good luck. You usually had to rebuild the whole thing yourself.

That has changed dramatically.

AI for super slides

Today, ChatGPT Business and Gemini Pro can create an incredibly powerful title slide in seconds, something that once took 15 minutes to create in Canva or inside PowerPoint.

Most agents may not use a slide deck every day, but if you’re teaching a first-time homebuyer class, giving a talk to your local Chamber of Commerce, or doing a presentation to a nonprofit board you serve on, you need a professional presentation. And if creating a PowerPoint deck is not in your creative wheelhouse, it could become a huge time suck and not have the visual impact you desire.

Now, with the advanced design skills built into the latest versions of ChatGPT Business and Gemini Pro, when you need those high-impact visuals, they are only a prompt away.

From blank slide to first draft

Canva is still excellent for branding, resizing, and final polishing. PowerPoint and Keynote are still the places many people prefer to present from.

But the starting point has changed.

Now you can ask ChatGPT Business or Gemini Pro to help create the structure of the presentation, draft the slide copy, suggest the flow, build visual ideas, and even generate strong anchor slides or infographics. Instead of staring at a blank deck, you can start with a working concept in minutes.

For agents who teach, train, speak, volunteer, or lead in their community, this is a big deal.

The prompt is now part of the design tool

This is where ChatGPT Business and Gemini Pro now feel different from the AI slide tools like Gamma or even the AI features inside Canva. With those tools, you often spent a lot of time fixing things, right?

Now, you can stay inside your chatbot. You can ask it to help you create the right slide concept, improve the language, sharpen the visual direction, and build something you can download and keep editing.

Here’s the prompt to create the shown title slide for one of our AI classes:

You can also stay right there to improve the first draft. Ask it to make tweaks, create a better visual, change the tone, enhance the design or simplify the layout.

That is a completely different workflow.

Editable files are better

A beautiful slide image is useful. You can repurpose it for a newsletter, a social post or a handout. But an editable PowerPoint file is more powerful because the text, graphics, and design elements are not trapped inside a flat image.

While you could make edits through additional prompts in your chatbot, having it create your slide in a PowerPoint or Keynote-friendly format allows you to have more direct control. You can then change the title, move the logo, swap the graphic, adjust the date, add your brokerage name, or reuse the same slide for a different class in the future.

Your new AI superpower

For years, great presentations required either design skills, a huge amount of time, or someone else to build the deck for you. Now, a strong title slide, an anchor graphic or even the first draft of a presentation is something you can create by talking to your AI.

AI is giving you a new skill you may not have had before: the ability to create presentation-quality visuals instantly.

Add that to your list of AI superpowers that can save you more time. (-Kevin)
