AI just got cheaper

AI just got cheaper

ChatGPT Business just dropped its price from $50 to $40 a month. That’s essentially $20 per agent, the same cost as ChatGPT Plus, but significantly more powerful. OpenAI just gave us a 20% cut on what I would argue is the most capable (and safest) AI tool available to real estate agents today.

But this isn’t just a price drop. It’s something bigger.

We’re getting a glimpse into what we’ll one day look back on as the golden age of AI: When you could access thousands of dollars in value every day for the cost of a few cups of coffee.

And here’s the part that feels almost backwards: the more you use it, the better it gets. It learns how you think, adapts to your voice, and becomes, as they say in Boston, wickedly smart.

What happened is counterintuitive. The price should be going up, not down, right? Instead, OpenAI just flipped the script.

So, what just happened? They didn’t just cut the price. They made it harder to leave.

More than a content machine

Yes, ChatGPT Business is a marketing content machine. It handles emails, social posts, blogs, website copy, brochures, and client explanations. And it can sound so much like you, your mother can’t tell the difference.

But that’s not the real story.

ChatGPT Business makes you better

This isn’t just about writing faster. It’s about thinking better. ChatGPT Business acts like an amplifier for how you process information and make decisions. It’s like having the world’s smartest intern working beside you, one that’s learning your ways every day.

Safety first, always

For agents, safety matters. For brokers and MLS execs, Shadow AI matters. ChatGPT solves for both. It is enterprise-grade, bank-level security. Your data is not used to train the model, ever.

One tool, sharper every day

What sets ChatGPT Business apart is how it evolves with you. Persistent memory, deeper personalization, and consistent performance across all folders and tasks. That makes it vastly different from the rest.

It also keeps improving. It’s quicker, more responsive, and better at things it used to suck at. Example: ChatGPT Business now rivals and often surpasses Google Gemini’s Nano Banana when it comes to original image creation.

Way more than a content creator

ChatGPT Business’ biggest value shows up in moments that have nothing to do with content.

It also explains complex documents quickly, delivers instant client talking points on any subject, can decode emotional signals in client emails and texts to perfect your best next response, helps you plan and role play privately, can help you fix things, and it can act as your on-demand real estate coach.

It’s how agents leveraging AI will start to think better, communicate better, and make better decisions. Every. Single. Day.

No direct competitor right now matches this combination of security, capability, and price. That is what makes this moment so unusual.

AI for real estate agents did not just get better. It got cheaper. (-Kevin)

Real estate association leaders, MLS trainers, and instructors are headed to the BEATS Conference on April 19–22 in Oklahoma City. We all are trying to solve the same challenge: how to help agents use this new technology the best and safest ways.

Kevin Hawkins, real estate’s “Real AI Guy,” will be signing his The REAL AI Guide, a bestselling Amazon book, at the WAV Group exhibit: Bring your AI questions! BEATS is a place to learn the practical, not theoretical.
