Stop typing and start talking to AI

Typing your prompt is not always the fastest way to use AI.
In fact, it may be the thing slowing you down.
Most of us still use AI the same way we use email, Google or a blank Word doc: we sit down, put our hands on the keyboard and start typing. But if you are using AI to brainstorm, write, summarize, plan, respond to clients or create better prompts, your voice may be the better interface.
That’s why Wispr Flow has become my latest go-to AI productivity tool.
Wispr Flow is an AI-featured, voice dictation tool that lets you talk your instructions into almost anything: text, email, inside a Word or Google doc, and more. Instead of typing every word, you say what you want, and Wispr Flow turns it into clean, formatted writing.
Your voice is faster than your fingers
Here’s the big reason this matters: speaking is significantly faster than typing.
A Stanford-led study found that speech input was about three times faster than keyboard typing for English text entry. The study measured speech at roughly 161 words per minute versus about 53 words per minute for typing.
That gap is huge.
For real estate professionals, it means the fastest way to get a better AI result may not be to type a better prompt. It may be to say a better prompt – or at least share all the details that it takes to create a great prompt.
Think about how often you know what you want to say, but typing it slows you down. You pause. You edit. You backspace. You simplify because your fingers can’t keep up with your brain. With voice, you can explain more naturally. You can give AI more context. And context is what makes AI so much better.

Prompt engineering is dead
At least the old version is.
You no longer need to cut-and-paster master prompt formulas, magic phrases or perfect AI commands. The better skill today is learning how to explain what you want clearly, with enough detail, context and direction because AI will write the best prompts for you.
Talk to AI and tell it what you need, in conversational language, then let AI help you turn those thoughts into the best prompts.
That is where a tool like Wispr Flow becomes more than dictation. It becomes a shortcut to better AI instructions. You can think out loud, add details as they come to you, explain what matters, clarify what you do not want and keep building on your instructions without stopping to type, edit and retype.
It learns your lingo
One of the coolest things about Wispr Flow is that it can learn the words you use.
That’s important, as our industry is known for acronyms, unusual phrases and specialized words that the built-in voice-to-text tools inside AI chatbots often butcher. Claude, Perplexity, and Gemini can be especially frustrating, and while ChatGPT’s voice input is better, it can still time out, mishear key words or fail to capture your instructions after you have already done the work of saying them.
Wispr Flow is different because its dictation accuracy goes beyond capturing exactly what you say. It’s AI Auto Edits feature allows you to ramble and share a stream of consciousness and then turns those thoughts into clear sentences and perfectly formatted text, without the filler words or typos, editing as you speak.
That means it saves you time twice: first when you dictate, and again when you do not have to repeat yourself because the chatbot didn’t understand.
More than AI
The AI use case for Wispr Flow is the most exciting, but this is bigger than AI.
You can use voice dictation for emails, texts, social posts client updates, CRM entries, listing remarks, meeting follow-ups and quick ideas into notes you won’t lose.
The real benefit is not just speed. It is momentum.
When you stop typing and start talking, you remove friction. And in a business where communication never stops, removing friction may be one of the most practical AI productivity wins of all. (-Kevin)
