David Gumpper is the Chief Technology Officer of Fluente and a senior consultant with WAV Group. His passion for identifying strategic opportunities in the complex world of technology has guided his career and shaped his leadership philosophy.

David has long recognized that the perceived complexity of technology often becomes a distraction for business leaders. Too frequently, technology is viewed as tactical, isolated from business strategy, and controlled by siloed teams. David’s approach eliminates these hindrances, aligning technology directly with business outcomes and long-term growth.

With more than 24 years of experience as a technologist, David has deployed and managed enterprise-scale platforms for organizations such as the University of Dentistry and Medicine of New Jersey, Ricoh Corporation, and Novartis Pharmaceuticals before relocating to Florida in 2003. That year, he joined Michael Saunders & Company as Director of Information Technology, where he restructured the department into a customer-focused technology division. His success in delivering measurable business value through technology led to his promotion as Chief Technology Officer in 2015.

In 2013, David obtained his Florida real estate sales associate license to better understand the daily experiences of real estate professionals. This hands-on perspective has allowed him to contribute more effectively to industry-wide strategies and serve as a volunteer leader on multiple boards and committees.

Since 2013, David has participated in several National Association of Realtors (NAR) advisory groups, including the Multiple Listing Technology and Emerging Issues Advisory Board, the Multiple Listing Issues & Policy Committee, and the Leading Edge Advisory Board. His unique combination of technology expertise and business insight has made him a trusted strategic thinker across the industry.

David’s leadership continued through his work with Leading Real Estate Companies of the World, where he was appointed to the Marketing Technology Advisory Council (MTAC) in 2012, promoted to Vice-Chair in 2015, and named Chair in 2016. He also served as a broker representative on the Real Estate Standards Organization (RESO) Board of Directors in 2017, where he helped launch and lead the RESO Broker Advisory Group the following year.

Today, as Chief Technology Officer of Fluente, David focuses on building enterprise-level AI solutions and Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers that allow brokerages and MLSs to fully own their AI infrastructure and data—a critical step toward achieving digital sovereignty in real estate.

David resides in Bradenton, Florida, with his wife Kelly, who has served as a Financial Services Manager at State College of Florida since 2005. His eldest son, Ryan, is a PhD candidate in Chemistry at Georgia State University, while his younger son, Evan, is pursuing undergraduate studies in History at the University of South Florida.
