Each of us at WAV Group mourns the loss of Gurtej Sodhi, who passed away on Saturday from complications related to cancer in the lining of his lungs. Born October 31, 1968, Sodhi immigrated to America and soon began working for Crye-Leike Group of Companies in 1999. Sodhi worked closely with David Gumpper and Victor Lund on a myriad of projects spanning decades, often the technical lead from The Realty Alliance, Leading Real Estate Companies of the World, or both. He lent his intelligence and passion to the industry to help deliver important industry initiatives like the Broker Public Portal. In his role driving technology and information systems for Crye-Leike, Sodhi was among the few brokerage executives in America operating businesses in real estate, banking, insurance, and title across 8 states and nearly 50 MLS areas. His insights have guided industry policy development and will leave a lasting impact.

Gurtej Sodhi was a great listener and a great thinker focused on how to make the real estate industry stronger, while delivering innovative and effective programs for his company’s agents. He often saw first what others saw eventually. But more than anything, he was a servant leader who was always kind and empathetic.

Services will be held at Highland Hills Funeral Home, 2422 Brick Church Pike, Nashville, Tennessee, on October 3, 2023. The family is asking for donations in the form of Memorial Trees – please click here for more information on how to submit your donation.
