This is great news for realtors and great news for Rental Beast. For decades, the success of brokers and agents related to rentals was constrained by MLS systems and rules that did not support data or economic solutions that make the market work. Generally, MLS systems do not support rentals very well; so entering a rental listing in the MLS – or searching for a rental to serve a client – is not as robust as ‘for sale’ property. Moreover, the fundamental offer of the cooperation and compensation model in the MLS is not always supportive of rentals; but all of this is changing on a market-by-market basis, and now will be accelerated by the partnership between Rental Beast and the National Associaton of Realtors®.
Rental Beast offers an MLS system for rentals that sits alongside the MLS. Over the past few years it has become widely adopted by large and mid-sized MLSs – but the majority of MLSs do not have a solution in place. With the support of NAR, Rental Beast is likely to continue their expansion in serving more realtors and their clients. National Association of Realtors® Announces Partnership with Rental Beast
CHICAGO (July 12, 2022) – The National Association of Realtors® today announced Rental Beast as its exclusive recommended software provider in the rental space. Under this agreement, NAR members receive free access to Apply Now by Rental Beast, the secure FCRA-compliant online rental application and tenant screening engine.
“NAR REALTOR Benefits® aims to provide products and services that deliver value and empower Realtors® to succeed in their businesses,” said Rhonny Barragan, NAR vice president of strategic alliances. “Rental Beast created a lead-to-lease platform which brings seamless entry into the multibillion-dollar rental industry and its clientele, and we are thrilled to provide this benefit to our members.”
NAR members will also receive unlimited access to Rental Beast University, the digital education platform designed by industry experts.
Rental Beast is also integrated with many MLS platforms and association websites. NAR members within these partnerships receive additional access to rental-centric listing management tools, including listing add/edit, comprehensive rental search, rental listing syndication, rental lead generation and qualification, and renter-to-buyer conversion.
Rental Beast achieved notable success as a member of the 2022 REACH Canada cohort, a unique technology scale-up program managed by Second Century Ventures, NAR’s strategic investment arm.
