As the saying goes, they just don’t make them like Lorne and his generation of visionary, gutsy entrepreneurs anymore. Lorne had a unique vision for the industry, founded in profitability. His background as a chartered accountant gave him a unique perspective so valuable to brokers, most of whom grew up focusing on top line sales, not profitability. He was a constant crusader teaching brokers how to manage expenses, simplify their operations and build sustainable businesses.

Lorne was also amazing at providing opportunities to many young companies. He put many of them on the map and gave them exposure to some of the best run brokerages in North America. He rolled up a suite of tools second to none. He built something really powerful and unique that the real estate industry needed.

He was such a fun and passionate guy – always thinking….always pushing the envelope. He woke up every morning thinking about ways he could make the real estate industry and his customers more successful.

We at WAV Group, were lucky enough to work with him and his great team on several projects over the years – Kim Koraca and so many others that helped him bring his vision to life.

We are really going to miss you my friend.

It is with great sadness we share that Lorne C. Wallace, our company’s founder, passed away on May 20. Lorne was 61 and is survived by his wife, Kelli Todd-Wallace, his five children, nine grandchildren, his parents, and two sisters.

A chartered accountant by trade, and the third generation of his family to be involved in real estate, Lorne founded Lone Wolf in 1989. Through a combination of passion, innovation, and sheer will, Lorne grew the company into the leading software provider for the residential real estate industry in North America. His vision for Lone Wolf guides us to this day.

Though there are few words that can do Lorne justice, we will try.

He was passionate, not just about real estate, but about people.

He was brilliant, a tireless innovator who pioneered the software we’re proud to provide today.
