Brokerages struggle with a disconnected set of technologies that do not pass data seamlessly. Current methods make it difficult for agents to easily access and fully leverage the brokerage investment in success technologies. Brokers spend thousands to arm their agents with sales performance technologies, but without easy access, many of the tools are underutilized. WAV Group polled brokers nationwide to assess a path to help address these challenges.
In part 1 of the WAV Group Broker Technology Utilization study sponsored by Nautilent, WAV Group examines broker’s interest in a more centralized and simplified method to manage their business. With the emergence of dashboards that seamlessly connect to MLS data and make it a lot easier for brokers to safely manage data, track financial performance and effectively communicate to agents, WAV Group wanted to gauge how much brokers believe centralized dashboards can solve key challenges for their businesses.
The WAV Group Brokerage Technology Utilization Study highlighted why it is so difficult for brokers to find an easy way to encourage usage of all of the technologies they provide to their agents. Over 70% of brokerages offer at least 4 technologies and 45% offer 7 or more technologies. 7 or more log-ins on seven different websites make it nearly impossible for an agent to remember where to find all of the tools. Without a centralized view and nothing getting pushed to agents regularly to remind them to attend training, try a new product or learn a new feature, brokerage technologies are under utilized. Even worse, the significant investments brokerages make are under appreciated. When promoted regularly brokerage technologies can play a key role in retention, but without regular reminders to engage, this competitive advantage is lost
Study results demonstrate significant interest in an affordable way to house and help agents access their listing, commission, financial, market share, market stats data in one place; it would create a competitive advantage for their brokerage all in one place.
Nearly 2/3 of broker respondents believe having all their listing, commission, financial, market share, market stats data in one place would create a competitive advantage for their brokerage. Centralization would allow brokerages to train and prompt agents to pay more attention to market share and market trends as well as more closely track their progress against their business plan goals.
If your brokerage takes pride in its commitment to help agents win by fully leveraging the training, technology and tools you provide, then you may want to get serious about considering a centralized dashboard.
