A consumer asks ChatGPT:

“Who is the best real estate agent in my city?”

Will your name appear?

For most agents, the answer is probably no.

Real estate discovery is changing faster than most professionals realize. Consumers are moving beyond Google searches and beginning to rely on AI platforms like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity to make recommendations.

The scary part? AI is already forming an opinion about you.

In the latest Digital Mastery Series webinar, Real Grader showed agents exactly how this works. When AI was asked about top agents in Nashville, Gary Ashton appeared again and again. Why? Because his digital presence was connected. His website, reviews, social channels, real estate profiles, and online authority created signals that AI could understand.

Then came the live audits.

“The AI search era is here. Most agents are dabbling with their digital footprint. It is time to go all in,” said Alex Montalenti, CEO at Real Grader. “Every agent was offered the opportunity to do a digital audit.”

Even experienced, successful agents discovered problems hiding in plain sight. One 49-year real estate veteran had strong activity online but also had two Google Business profiles competing against each other, missing connections, and opportunities to improve how AI interprets her reputation.

That is the wake-up call.

Being a great agent is no longer enough if AI cannot find evidence of your greatness.

Your Google profile, reviews, social media, videos, website, and agent profiles are becoming your new AI résumé. If they are incomplete, outdated, or disconnected, another agent may get recommended instead.

The agents who learned Google early won the last digital race.

The agents who understand AI visibility early may win the next one.
