I was just looking at the MLSCloud.com and noticed a few very interesting things. First, the listings of over 777,000 agents are now being promoted on the site. The site now truly has a meaningful, national footprint. Way to go HAR! Is it time for a MLS “Light” product solution?

I have spent the last couple of hours reviewing verbatim comments from a member satisfaction survey for one of the largest MLSs in the United States. Apple now the 5th best selling computer brand in the world!

According to a study released by Canalys today,  Apple fueled the 7% growth of the computer market in Q1, 2011. According to Canalys, pad shipments reached 6.4 million units worldwide. Apple accounted for 74% of these shipments, while other vendors struggled to bring competitive products to market. Canalys expects that next quarter will see a significant change in the market, with products appearing from Acer, Asus, LG and RIM. Three more MLSs announced today that they will offering a great new service that helps connect consumers to a myriad of downpayment assistance programs around the United States. The entire real estate industry is retiring!

I was reviewing the 2010 National Association of REALTORS Member Profile today and noticed a very alarming fact!  The real estate industry is retiring! Not only has the average age of REALTORS moved from 51 to 54 year old.  While the number of REALTORS that are 60 or older has risen 32% in the past four years, the number of REALTORS that are 39 years old and younger has actually DECREASED 21%!   Not only is the industry concentrated on those that are nearly retirement age, we are LOSING those that are in their prime producing years!   Most MLSs and Associations [...]
