Doug Seabolt, CEO of Rocket Homes (formerly In-House Realty) has been a busy guy in 2018. His company acquired ForSaleByOwner.com in the spring, and now In-House Realty has rebranded as Rocket Homes to better connect with sister company Quicken Loans – home of Rocket Mortgage. Both Quicken Loans and Rocket Homes are subsidiaries of the fintech giant, Rock Holdings.

CoreLogic® (NYSE: CLGX), a leading global property information, analytics and data-enabled solutions provider, today announced a new agreement to offer BoxMLS to its multiple listing and broker clients. BoxMLS is a new solution that provides an alternative search interface and tools for working with listing data from multiple organizations simultaneously. Under the agreement, CoreLogic is the exclusive reseller of BoxMLS to MatrixTM and InnoVia® clients that are new users of the BoxMLS solution.
CoreLogic shared some good news today. Their Trestle data distribution solution that provides MLSs with RESO compliant web API transmission capabilities was upgraded to Platinum-level certification. I am sure that they will be spreading the good news to their customers at the Council of MLS meetings that start in Orlando, FL tomorrow. Some MLSs who were on the fence about signing up for Trestle cited Platinum-level Web API as their demand. Now CoreLogic can hook them up with the highest standard.

WAV Group has been working with many large brokerages around the United States to implement their General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliance. For California firms, we are, at the same time, implementing the new Privacy Standards set to go into effect in 2020. In many ways, these regulations impact the same policies and procedures of the brokerage. The include website terms of use, privacy policy, vendor agreements, cookie notices, agent policies, staff policies, notices, training, and a plan on how to enable the right for consumers to be forgotten by all of systems.
I was starting to hit my stride helping companies integrate social media into their Public Relations programs when I was mugged by Dark Social. If you are not familiar with the term Dark Social, I wasn’t either, until recently. At first, I thought Dark Social was somehow related to the Dark Web. Fortunately, I was wrong.
